It is your responsibility to maintain compliance with the terms of your nonimmigrant visa status.

Examples of things you must do to remain compliant with your F/J visa status are:

  1. Maintain full-time course enrollment each semester
  2. Refrain from engaging in unauthorized employment off-campus and obtain proper work authorization before engaging in any employment off-campus
  3. Alert ISS of any changes to your personal contact information within 10 days
  4. Keep your documents valid and request extensions in a timely manner (i.e. prior to the program end date on your Form I-20 or Form DS-2019).

The resources on the right will assist you with learning more about the terms of your F-1/J-1 visa status, and will provide you with resources currently in place to support and supplement academic life on-campus.
